What is on this week? Week One Term 1 2016

What’s on this week – Week 1 Term 1 2016 Monday – First day at school, Powhiri for new students and Staff 9:30am outside the Hall [weather permitting] Newsletters, stationery list, homework etc to go home. Please check your child’s bag for these. Tuesday – Team Assembly in the Hall Wednesday – Swimming leaving school at 1.10pm and returning by 2.50pm Thursday – Usual timetable Friday – Swimming leaving school at 1.10pm and returning by 2.50pm Monday Week 2 – Swimming leaving school at 1.10pm and returning by 2.50pm If your child has a device, they are welcome to bring it along to enhance learning, however please ensure that it is ‘school compatible’ so it will need Google drive and Docs, plus any games need to be age appropriate. The device would need to be IPad mini size or larger.  IPods and Smartphones are not suitable for working on in the class. We expect to be 1-1 Chromebooks by the middle of Week 2 so if you are considering purchasing a device for your child, we would encourage a Chromebook as they are the most suitable for school.  Noel Leeming has a great deal on them at the moment. Room 13 and Room 14 are working together in the Hall and Library at the moment until the new build has been completed sometime this term.  We will be combining both of our expertise [Mel and Lesley] to provide your child with a fantastic year of learning.  If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to speak to either one of us.
