What’s on this week - Week 5 Term 2


Monday -
Breakfast Club, 
fitness, 
homework returned and new homework given out. 
School Cross country - see our Facebook page for the information and times etc.


Tuesday -  
Basketball practice for our Yr 7 and 8 players at 8.20am. 
Yr 7 and 8 Technology at Makllege.  Covered shoes is a must and long hair tied back.  Cooking - bring a coura Coontainer please, bring a pen / pencil. 
Year 6’s Rms to Mrs Mac for Drama, Enviro and Leadership. 
1pm Kapa Haka continues for all students interested, Whaea Lesley, and Mrs K.  
Languages and Careers last block.


Wednesday
Breakfast Club, 
fitness, 
Rugby 7’s Tournament on today those who are playing in the tournament - please come prepared.

Thursday
Basketball practice for our yr 7 and 8 players at 8.20am.

Friday - 
Cross country Postponement day, Team Assembly. 
Friday sports for all students from Yr 3 to 8.


Can we please have back any Report files from last year so we can use the information to set up our reports this year - digitally.

Cross Country

School Cross Country is on tomorrow - Monday at 10am.
We are having an early morning tea.
The Year 8 students run first and then we go through from Year One to Year 7.
Children may wear house colors to run in and bring school clothes to change into afterwards.
All children must wear running shoes and bring a plastic bag to put their wet muddy clothes in once they are changed.
Remember to bring along a named cup as the PTA will be supplying a hot Milo for after the race

Thanks

A huge thanks to Whanau who visited us yesterday afternoon at our Open Afternoon, it was great to see you all!

Reminders

Sausage Sizzle on today. Support Team Kahikatea and buy one if these tasty sausies for lunch. $1.50 each, Juicies $1.00 each. Order from the S.L.S. Deck before school. 


Sports are on this afternoon for Yrs3 to 8 so be prepared. 


If you are Rugby 7s training with Matua......a change of clothes is expected, plus your mouth guard.

Harriers was today (Sunday)

It was fabulous seeing our Room 13 students competing in Harriers competition (on Sunday the 22nd) in Masterton.  
The weather was not ideal as it was very wet.
Well done to all the runners!

We had some places:
Jack came first in the Year 5 and 6 boys race.
Maia came 5th in the Year 7 and 8 girls race.

The Year 5 and 6 boys team won the Junior Boys Trophy.

Congratulations to all who entered.

I am very proud of you and your commitment!  







Saturday Sport

This team was great to watch on Saturday.  
It was awesome to watch Harrison, Cyrus, Caius, Jack, Leo and Lennox play and to see their fantastic skills.  
Way to go Lions.

Saturday Sport

On Saturday I went and watched some fantastic Room 13 students play sport. You are awesome! Great skills and teamwork.

2 x Yr 8 students off to Theatre Sports in Greytown. 
Yr 7 and 8 Technology at Makoura College.  Covered shoes is a must and long hair tied back.  Cooking - bring a container please, bring a pen / pencil.

Final day for 2 x Yr 8 students at Theatre Sports in Greytown.  
National Young Leaders Conference  [NYL 16] in Porirua 10 x Yr 8 students are going along with Mrs Woollard and Mrs Kennedy - Ms Whitburn in Room 14.
