Homework for Week One was sent home yesterday. It is due next Monday.
The theme for this homework is the Olympic, our country and places that make up our country.
The students can complete the homework on the paper copy or make a doc on their Google account and share it with me.
I collect the homework in on Monday and we mark it on Tuesday morning.
If you have any questions please contact me.

Kapa Haka
Yesterday, in the last block, it was my turn to go and experience Kapa Haka (and support Whaea Lesley). Wow, Wow, Wow! What an amazing group of students - They are enthusiastic, hardworking, strong performers and disciplined. I was so proud of them all as I watched them work on their haka. I can't wait to see their performance in the future.
Sorry no photos as I left my phone at home. Next time.
Day One -
What a great day we had for our first day back for Term 3. The students and I are excited about being back at school and inquiring into the Olympics and Challenge. It sounded like everyone had a lovely break.
My challenge for the term (set by myself) is to post more things about the students learning on the Room 13 blog and Team Kahikatea Facebook Page. So watch these spaces for regular updates.

“My parents sent me overseas for a gap year when I was 18 and I learned quickly you need self motivation to survive and get towards your dreams. After Uni I spent 2 years in Asia working and travelling to learn more about the world and its cultures. I came back and built a solid foundation in sales roles then used my experience and desire to work into leadership roles succeeding and failing along with way. Experience has taught me a lot but key to that is vision and being a bit of a dreamer!”
